10 FT Cantilever Patio Umbrella with 32 Solar LED Lights and 220 LBS Base-Dark Blue

Six tilt positions that lock with a button, plus a foot pedal that swings the canopy a full circle: two controls between them cover the whole afternoon. The dark blue canopy is a true 10 foot square on eight reinforced ribs, with 7 feet of clearance, 32 solar LED beads and base plates holding up to 220 lb.

One setting is never enough

Shade set at noon is useless by five

The sun crosses the whole yard through an afternoon and comes in low at the end of it. A canopy with one fixed angle covers the table for an hour and then leaves somebody squinting into the light.

Six angles and a full circle

The arm steps through six tilt positions and a push button locks each one, so the canopy holds where you set it. Separately, the foot pedal releases the whole canopy to turn around the post. A hundred square feet of shade can follow the sun from lunch until it goes down.

The shape and the stand

Deep blue canopy, black frame, four base plates around the foot of the post. The top down view shows the true square with its LED strips running to the corners. On the right, the narrow column it folds into when the crank brings it down.

Tilted low over the seating

Leaned over a sofa group the canopy cuts out low light without dropping onto anybody, because even tilted the rim starts from 7 feet. The beads along the ribs and the hub light do the rest once it is dark, on roughly 6 to 8 hours from a day's charge.

What is under the fabric

Eight reinforced metal ribs run from the hub out to the corners of the square, each with an LED strip along it and a brighter light at the centre. On a hundred square feet of canopy the rib count is what decides whether the fabric stays taut or starts to ripple.

How much table it covers

Over a dining table the square canopy covers the end seats as well as the middle. Ten by ten feet is what size guides pair with a six to eight seat rectangular table. The crown sits 8.6 feet up and the rim 7 feet, so there is real headroom under the edge.

What you get

Square 10 by 10 canopy

A hundred square feet with real corners, which is what puts shade on the end seats of a rectangular table.

Seven feet under the rim

The rim clears 7 ft and the crown 8.6 ft, so walking in under the edge does not involve ducking.

32 LEDs and a centre light

Beads follow the ribs with a brighter light at the hub, rated at roughly 6 to 8 hours from a full charge.

Six locking tilt positions

Press the button, lean the canopy, release. It holds at the setting you chose instead of easing back.

Foot pedal rotation

Step on the pedal and turn the canopy a full circle around the post. The filled base stays exactly where it is.

Base plates to 220 lb

Four fillable plates sit on a 40 inch cross frame, with a stated capacity of up to 220 lb between them.

Eight reinforced ribs

Eight ribs spread the canopy from the hub out to the corners, which is what keeps a big square cover taut.

Two tier vented crown

The gap between the two layers lets a gust climb out of the canopy rather than lifting the whole of it.

Who is this perfect for?

Rectangular dining sets

Square corners cover the end chairs, which is exactly where a round canopy of the same width gives up.

People who want one box

The base plates and the lighting are part of the product rather than two more things to order afterwards.

Long evenings outside

Thirty two beads and a centre light give roughly 6 to 8 hours off a day's charge, with nothing plugged in.

Frequently asked questions

How do the tilt and the rotation differ?

Tilt leans the canopy over through six positions, each locked by a push button, and it is what you use against a low sun. Rotation swings the entire canopy around the post on the foot pedal, and it is what you use to move the shade to a different part of the patio. They work independently.

What size area does it cover?

A hundred square feet, as a 10 foot square with real corners. That suits a six to eight seat rectangular table including the end chairs, or a corner sofa. Clearance is 7 feet under the rim and 8.6 feet at the crown.

What holds it down?

A 40 inch square cross frame with four plates that sit around the post, five inches thick, with a stated filling capacity of up to 220 lb. Fill them on site rather than trying to move them loaded. That is a lot of ballast next to a centre-pole umbrella of the same width, and it is what a cantilever needs, because the canopy hangs entirely to one side of the post.

What should I do with it over winter?

Crank it closed, let the canopy dry right through and store it somewhere dry with the post wiped down. Canadian umbrella care guides keep returning to the same two failures: snow load on an open canopy, and fabric folded away while it is still damp.
