12 Inch Kids Bike with Training Wheels, Basket and Front V-Brake, Purple
Eighteen and a half pounds, which is light enough for most three year olds to pick the bike up themselves after a tumble. The maker rates this 12 inch for ages 3 to 4, riders 31.5 to 41.3 inches tall, an inseam of 17 to 18.5 inches, a saddle of 17.5 to 19.5 inches and a 110 lb capacity.
A bike too heavy for the child to lift
Every fall becomes a parent's job
If a child cannot right their own bike, every tumble and every kerb needs an adult. Most listings never print the weight, so there is nothing to judge by.
18.5 lb, and the maker prints it
This size weighs 18.5 lb, against 20.5 for the 14 inch and 25 for the 18. That is the difference between a child getting straight back on and calling for help.
The bike
A purple frame with cartoon character graphics on the down tube, a white woven basket with a bow on the bars, a padded black saddle and two detachable training wheels.
One chart, six numbers per size
The 12 in column gives a saddle of 17.5 to 19.5 in, an inseam of 17 to 18.5 in, riders 31.5 to 41.3 in tall, 3 to 4 years, a bike weight of 18.5 lb and a 110 lb capacity. Few kids bike listings publish the bike's own weight at all.
The fittings
A bell built into the grip, a padded seat, reflectors front and rear and a mudguard. The mudguard is the one that shows after a wet ride.

What we stand behind
- The age band, rider height, inseam, saddle height, bike weight, overall dimensions and 110 lb weight capacity are the manufacturer's own published figures.
- No helmet is included. A helmet belongs on every ride, and eight Canadian provinces have helmet legislation, three of them for riders under 18.
- This is a bike for supervised riding on paths, driveways and parks, never on a road.
- No safety certification mark is shown on this listing, so we claim none.
- Ships from our Canadian or United States warehouse, free shipping over $150, and 14 day returns unused in the original packaging.
