A 16 inch bought for the wrong reason
Buying up a size to save money
Families often skip a wheel size to make a bike last, and the child then spends a year on a bike they cannot get a foot down on.
Check the 21.5 inch saddle floor
The saddle here does not drop below 21.5 inches. If your child's inseam is under that, the 14 inch in this range starts at 20 inches and would fit now rather than next summer.
The bike
A carbon steel frame in white with green trim, with a black wire basket on the bars, a black PP covered saddle and two 4 inch training wheels at the rear axle.
The published fit
45 inches long, 22 inches across the bars, 28 to 30.5 inches tall. The 16 inch row gives ages 4 to 7, riders 41.5 to 51 inches tall, an inseam of 19.5 to 23.5 inches and a 99 lb seat capacity.
What is fitted
Reflectors front and rear, a wipe clean PP seat, a carbon steel frame, a 4 inch stabiliser wheel and a basket that lifts off.

What we stand behind
- The age band, rider height, inseam, saddle height, handlebar height, overall dimensions and 99 lb seat limit are the manufacturer's own published figures.
- The maker shows a CPSC and CPSIA badge on its own dimensions panel. That is their claim, repeated as such, with no certificate number.
- No helmet is included. A helmet belongs on every ride, and eight Canadian provinces have helmet legislation, three of them for riders under 18.
- This is a bike for supervised riding on paths, driveways and parks, never on a road.
- The store's colour names and the product photographs do not always agree across this range. The copy describes what the photographs show.
- Ships from a Canadian warehouse, free shipping over $150, and 14 day returns unused in the original packaging.
