The maker's height band for this wheel size, against an inseam of 23 to 25 in.
Children who ride with a passenger
The doll chair has a strap, which is the difference between a toy that travels and one that gets left on the pavement.
Beginners
Two detachable training wheels and a coaster brake that needs no grip strength, with a hand lever for when the fingers reach.
What we stand behind
- The suitable age, rider height, inseam, saddle height, handlebar height, overall size and 145 lb seat capacity here are the manufacturer's own published figures for the 18 in.
- The manufacturer states ASTM and CPSIA compliance and prints ASTM and CPSC with CPSIA marks on their dimensions panel. We repeat that as their claim and quote no certificate number, because none is published.
- No helmet is included. A helmet belongs on every ride, and eight Canadian provinces have helmet legislation, three of them for riders under 18.
- This is a bike for supervised riding on paths, driveways and parks, never on a road.
- The listing title says 3 to 5 years old, which is the 14 inch row. The maker's own table gives 4 to 8 years for the 18 inch, and that is what is published.
- Ships from a Canadian warehouse, free shipping over $150, and 14 day returns unused in the original packaging.
