What is an armless middle for?

It is the piece that sits between two others in a sectional. Because neither side has an arm, it lengthens the seating in a straight line instead of breaking it up. On its own, a pair of them is a small loveseat.

Will it match a set I already have?

Only if the model and the measurements match. Compare the seat height, 16.5 in here, and the back height of 25.5 in. A difference of even an inch shows badly when two pieces are side by side.

Is anything supplied to hold the pieces together?

No clips, brackets or straps are listed. The chairs push together and hold by their own weight. Clips for wicker sectionals are available separately from other brands.

Can the cushions be left outside in the rain?

Better not. The covers unzip and can be rinsed, but foam that stays wet is what starts mould. Dry them fully before they go into any box or bag for the winter.
