A fire pit is wonderful in October and pointless in a heatwave. An open burner pit in the middle of a seating group is then a hole nobody can put a glass on, taking up the best spot on the patio.
The lid turns it into a table
This one has a removable lid that covers the burner completely, giving a flat 35 in square surface. Drinks, plates and a tray all go on it, and the lid comes off again the moment the evenings turn cool.

Fire table 35 in square and 24.5 in high, which is a normal coffee table height with the lid on. Corner sofas 29.5 in square, armless middles 28 in by 27 in, ottomans 17.5 in square, storage box 33.5 in by 29.5 in by 26 in.
Covering it up
The maker shows a fitted PVC cover for the fire table, waterproof, sun protective and dust resistant, and prints one instruction with it: cover the fire pit after it has cooled down.
