Both pieces fold
The ottoman retracts under the seat, which takes the chair from 53 in to armchair depth without folding anything. When the space is needed properly, the chair folds to 44 in by 24 in by 12 in and the table folds flat beside it, and both lean against a wall.

The numbers

A safety latch catches the ottoman when it slides back, so it does not drift out again while somebody is getting up. Slid out it is a deck chair; slid back it is an armchair.
Five details
Fade resistant PE rattan, acacia arms and frame, a triangular brace, and a hook that stops the table folding while something is on it. Acacia greys if it is left to itself. Exterior hardwood oil in spring and again at the end of summer keeps the colour. No oil is included.
