Three offset boards that zigzag, so the shelf reads as a shape rather than a box of books.
Two bays face opposite ways, which is why it works end on beside a sofa as easily as against a wall. At 7 inches deep it holds paperbacks, a lamp and a plant without eating the walkway. The painted surface is sealed, so a ring from a mug wipes away.
The marked measurements
The slide puts it at 22 inches tall and 7 inches deep. The upper bay is 13 inches wide and 10 inches high, and the base board runs 19.5 inches. Capacity is marked 44 pounds on the top board and 44 pounds on the inner shelf.
