Wooden Wagon Planter Box with Handles
A long low cart in scorched fir, with two handles at the back and a bed deep enough to plant into rather than just stand pots in.
Carbonized fir throughout, treated at high temperature so the grain stands up dark and the boards resist cracking. Metal straps wrap the corners, four wooden wheels carry it, and a supporting bar underneath keeps it level on the ground.
Longer than it looks
Thirty two inches end to end with the handles, 15.5 inches across. The planting bed inside measures 21.5 by 11 inches at 5.5 inches deep.
Water runs straight through
A drainage hole in the floor and gaps between the bottom planks mean the bed never holds a pool after heavy rain or an enthusiastic watering.
It earns its keep in winter
Tip the soil out in October and the cart becomes a basket for logs, parcels or pumpkins. Nothing about it says summer only.
