Filling the base, step by step
The maker's own panel walks through it. Build the metal frame, drop the two sandbags into position, then fit the outer cover over the top. Their note says two fully filled bags measure 180 lb in total. Sand is not supplied, so pick it up before assembly day.
Opening and closing it
A crank on the pole raises both canopies together, so a 15 ft span does not need two people or a shove overhead. Winding it shut is the same handle in reverse, and a strap holds the folded fabric against the pole.
Out on open ground
On a terrace with nothing to break the wind, the base matters more than the fabric. Eight feet of pole and 15 ft of canopy need the sand in the tray, and the canopy needs winding down whenever the table is not in use.

Is sand included with the base?
No. The tray and the two bags come with the set, and the manufacturer states the pair reach 180 lb when fully filled. Play sand or paver sand from a hardware store is the usual fill. Water is an option but weighs less for the same volume, and it has to be emptied before the first hard freeze.
Can the umbrella be left open overnight?
It is better wound down. A 15 ft canopy on an 8 ft pole catches a lot of wind, and no wind rating is published for this model. The crank makes closing it a few seconds of work, and the strap holds the fabric against the pole.
Does the pole fit the table hole?
