Wood like tabletop, water resistance, fade resistance and an easy to clean surface are the four claims printed on the product's own panel. They publish no rating behind any of them. What is checkable is that the grey runs through the board rather than sitting on it as paint.

Do the chairs come with cushions?

No, and the set is not designed around them. The backrest slant and the dished seat are moulded into the HDPE, so the comfort is in the shape rather than in padding you have to store.

Is the grain real wood?

No. It is a wood like texture moulded into high density polyethylene. There is no timber in the set, so there is nothing to oil, sand or stain.

How tall are the chairs next to the table?

The chairs stand 37.5 in overall with the seat 17 in from the ground, and the table is 30 in high. That leaves 13 in between the seat and the underside of the top.

Can it stay outside through a Canadian winter?
