Will the red fade in the sun?

No fade rating is published for this fabric, so we do not claim one. Darker dyes usually show sun before pale ones. The covers unzip, so the practical move is to stow them in the storage box between weekends rather than leaving them out from May to September.

How does the propane connect?

The manufacturer's setup panel shows four steps: attach the regulator to the tank, stand the tank inside the fire pit table body, add lava rock over the burner, then turn the knob and press the igniter. The tank is hidden inside the table rather than sitting beside it. No tank is listed as included, so plan on supplying your own.

What happens to it over winter?

This set is built to be put away. The manufacturer's own storage sequence has the cushions going into the ottomans and the storage box, the two armless sofas sliding into the corner sofas, the glass top laid across them, the coffee table and ottomans stacked upside down on top, and one of the two waterproof covers over the lot. That leaves a 93 in by 29.5 in by 26 in block.

How much patio does it need?

Set out as an L, the seating runs roughly 29.5 in deep on each arm with the fire pit table 42 in long in front of it. Layout guides suggest about 24 in between a sofa and the table in front of it and 18 to 24 in between seating and a fire feature, so allow a good 12 ft by 12 ft to lay it out comfortably.
