10 ft 360 Degree Tilt Aluminum Square Patio Offset Cantilever Umbrella without Weight Base-Brick red
A rectangular table under a round umbrella always loses its end seats. This brick red canopy is a true 10 foot square, so the corners get shade too. It hangs from a powder-coated aluminum pole on eight steel ribs, tilts through seven positions, turns a full circle on a foot pedal and clears 7.5 feet at the edge.
Round shade, rectangular table
The end chairs sit in the sun
Patio tables are mostly rectangles and umbrellas are mostly circles. Put one over the other and the corners and end seats fall outside the shade.
A canopy shaped like the table
This one is 10 feet by 10 feet with square corners, so the ends of the table are covered as well as the middle. The post stands off to the side, so nothing goes through the table top.

What is in the box
The manufacturer's own caption on this picture is plain: cross base included, weight base not included. The canopy is shown tilted hard over, which is the lowest of its seven positions. Budget for weights before the first windy day.
Poolside, no table needed
Here the canopy covers two loungers on a pool deck. The post stands back on the boards, clear of the water. The canopy edge sits 7.5 feet up, so it shades the loungers without closing in on anyone sitting up.

Turn it with your foot
The pedal is on the cross base. Press it, turn the pole, and the canopy rotates round the post while the base stays loaded. It is the only practical way to move a weighted umbrella on your own.
The colour is in the yarn
The fabric is 240 gsm and yarn-dyed, meaning the colour goes in before weaving. The manufacturer rates it fade resistant and weather resistant. The droplets in this close up show water sitting on the surface.

What you get
Aluminum pole, steel ribs
A thick powder-coated aluminum pole carries eight steel ribs, so the frame resists rust and the canopy keeps its shape.
360 degrees on a pedal
Step on the pedal at the base and turn the pole. The canopy swings right round while the base stays put.
Seven tilt positions
The arm steps down the post through seven vertical positions, so the canopy can drop into low sun.
Crank lift
The same handle that sets the tilt winds the canopy open and shut, at chest height.
240 gsm yarn-dyed fabric
The colour is in the yarn rather than printed on, which is why the manufacturer calls it fade resistant.
Screwed-on canopy
The fabric is fixed to the frame with screws, so it cannot creep off the rib tips in a gust.
Vented top
A vent at the crown lets air escape upward instead of pushing on the whole canopy.
Cross base in the box
The cross base ships with it. The weights that sit on it are a separate purchase.

Who is this perfect for?
Rectangular dining sets
Square corners reach the end chairs that a round canopy of the same width leaves in the sun, and nothing rises through the middle of the table top.
Pool decks
It stands on its own cross base, so the shade can go over loungers where no table exists to hold a pole. Keep the post back from the water and on level ground.
West facing patios
Seven tilt steps plus a full circle of rotation are what you need when the worst sun of the day arrives at six, low and straight into your eyes.

Frequently asked questions
Why does the colour look orange in some photos?
The product record says it directly: the brick red canopy reads orange under strong sunlight and brick red in dim light. That is the fabric, not a printing error, so expect it to look brighter at midday than it does in the evening.
Will it cover a rectangular table?
Yes. A 10 by 10 foot square covers a six to eight seat rectangular table including the end chairs. The edge of the canopy sits 7.5 feet above the ground and the pole stands 9 feet, so there is room to walk in under the edge.
Does it come with a weighted base?
No. The cross base is included and the weights that sit on it are not. No base weight is published for this model, so we are not going to invent one. A cantilever hangs its whole canopy off one side of the post, so load it more heavily than you would a centre-pole umbrella of the same width and close it when the wind picks up.
How should it be stored over winter?
Crank it closed, wrap the hook and loop strap round the canopy, let the fabric dry right through and store it dry. Canadian care guides agree the two things that finish an umbrella early are snow load on an open canopy and fabric folded away damp.
