10 ft 360 Degree Tilt Aluminum Square Patio Offset Cantilever Umbrella without Weight Base-Blue
Seven tilt positions and a pedal that spins the canopy a full circle: this blue cantilever can put its shade almost anywhere the arm reaches. The canopy is a true 10 foot square on eight steel ribs, the pole is powder-coated aluminum, and the edge of the canopy clears 7.5 feet. A crank opens it and a cross base comes in the box.
Shade that is right for one hour
The sun moves, fixed shade does not
Set an umbrella at noon and by late afternoon the light is coming in low from the side. Most umbrellas give you one small tilt, or none.
Two separate adjustments
The arm steps through seven tilt positions to lean the canopy into low sun, and the foot pedal swings the whole canopy round the post. Between the two, the shade follows the day.

Square canopy, silver pole
The studio view shows the parts plainly. A powder-coated aluminum pole, an arm reaching out at the top, and a bright blue square canopy hung from it. At the foot sits the cross base that comes in the carton.
The whole table, corners included
Over a six seat table the square canopy reaches the end chairs, which a round cover would miss. The post stands clear of the seating. Under the edge there is 7.5 feet of room, and 9 feet at the top of the pole.

How the tilt steps down
Each ghosted canopy is one of the seven tilt positions, moving down the pole one step at a time. The crank handle works both the tilt and the opening. It holds where you set it.
Five details worth checking
The callouts pick out what separates this from a cheap cantilever: the offset joint, a vented top, a canopy fixed with screws, eight steel ribs and the cross base. The screws matter most. They stop the fabric working loose on the rib tips.

What you get
Aluminum pole, steel ribs
A thick powder-coated aluminum pole carries eight steel ribs, so the frame resists rust and the canopy keeps its shape.
360 degrees on a pedal
Step on the pedal at the base and turn the pole. The canopy swings right round while the base stays put.
Seven tilt positions
The arm steps down the post through seven vertical positions, so the canopy can drop into low sun.
Crank lift
The same handle that sets the tilt winds the canopy open and shut, at chest height.
240 gsm yarn-dyed fabric
The colour is in the yarn rather than printed on, which is why the manufacturer calls it fade resistant.
Screwed-on canopy
The fabric is fixed to the frame with screws, so it cannot creep off the rib tips in a gust.
Vented top
A vent at the crown lets air escape upward instead of pushing on the whole canopy.
Cross base in the box
The cross base ships with it. The weights that sit on it are a separate purchase.

Who is this perfect for?
Rectangular dining sets
Square corners reach the end chairs that a round canopy of the same width leaves in the sun, and nothing rises through the middle of the table top.
Pool decks
It stands on its own cross base, so the shade can go over loungers where no table exists to hold a pole. Keep the post back from the water and on level ground.
West facing patios
Seven tilt steps plus a full circle of rotation are what you need when the worst sun of the day arrives at six, low and straight into your eyes.

Frequently asked questions
How do the tilt and the rotation differ?
Tilt drops the canopy through seven positions on the post, set with the crank handle, and is what you use against low sun. Rotation turns the whole canopy round the post on the foot pedal, and is what you use to move the shade to another spot.
What size table does it suit, and how high does it sit?
A 10 by 10 foot canopy covers a six to eight seat rectangular table with the corners shaded. The edge of the canopy is 7.5 feet up and the pole 9 feet overall, so there is standing room under the edge.
Does it come with a weighted base?
No. The cross base is included and the weights that sit on it are not. No base weight is published for this model, so we are not going to invent one. A cantilever hangs its whole canopy off one side of the post, so load it more heavily than you would a centre-pole umbrella of the same width and close it when the wind picks up.
How should it be stored over winter?
Crank it closed, wrap the hook and loop strap round the canopy, let the fabric dry right through and store it dry. Canadian care guides agree the two things that finish an umbrella early are snow load on an open canopy and fabric folded away damp.
